One week in.

Well, we are one week into Chairman Obama's leadership. What have been the top priorities of his new administration, seemingly more important that anything else so far? Let's see, he has almost immediately allowed OUR money to be used overseas by agencies that provide abortions. I guess all the abortions taking place here are simply not enough in Obama's eyes. He must spread it around, and to top it off, make us pay for it.

Second, he has ordered the eventual closing of the Guantanamo terrorist prison. This sure makes me feel safer, how about you? In the meantime, it seems I heard about several more bank failures over the past week...Wouldn't the Obama supporters have us believe that the very fact of his being in the White House would almost magically put a stop to such things?

Maybe I am being too hard on him. I am sure he simply couldn't let such trivial things detract him from the pressing work of funding the killing of more babies and letting terrorists go free.

Is it 2012 Yet?

Well, today our four year nightmare begins....I really hope that with a little luck and possibly some divine intervention, that four years from now, the right conservative leader will emerge, that enough people will finally 'wake up' and realize the dangers of socialism, and frankly, that enough is left of our republican form of government and our liberty from which to rebuild and begin to repair the damage that will have surely been done.

A little over the top? Perhaps...Time will tell....My biggest fear is that things will actually be WORSE than I imagine....

Goodbye President Bush

I watched today as the mindless Obama-bots showed absolutely no class in their treatment of President Bush during the inauguration. Of course, given their collective IQ, this was to be expected...

While President Bush was far from the ideal conservative, especially during the last few months of his term, he still deserves far more respect than was shown him today, or at anytime during his presidency for that matter. While there are many things I could list that occurred during his presidency that could have been better from a conservative standpoint, he still had many successes, namely the wonderful supreme court choices he made, which ironically, may prove to be our salvation from some of the radicalism to come. I am convinced that with hindsight, history will be far more kind to President Bush than many are today.

I hope that President Bush realizes that there are many of us out here in 'real' America that appreciates his service, and wishes him all the best.

Inauguration bailout

Today, President Bush declared January 20th an "emergency" for the District of Columbia, making it eligible for federal funds for inauguration day costs. This is, in my mind, little more than yet ANOTHER bailout, this time for something that has not even happened yet, no less...

Didn't Obama state just the other day that "everybody in the country is going to have to sacrifice something" to fix the economy? Seems to me that a good place to start would be his requesting a 'scaled down' inauguration to save some money, and possibly the need for those emergency federal funds...

As if a democrat knows how to cut spending, or even many Republicans anymore, it seems....

Congressional Motors Part 2

Last month, I posted an 'ad' for the new 'Congressional Motors Pelosi'...I just discovered this YouTube video of the ad, and thought it was worth a post...

Pepsi for Obama?

I first noticed the new Pepsi logo a week or so ago at a supermarket. I instantly thought it looked strikingly similar to the Obama logo, but thought it was surely a coincidence, and others I talked to did not even notice the resemblance...

Then, bored one night, I decided to use Google and see if anyone else had noticed this similarity. I instantly discovered that this logo was quite the topic of discussion on certain websites, with several local TV stations even airing clips about it.

This video, however, made it quite clear to me that as hard as it is to believe, this logo design was no coincidence...Just watch for the Pepsi ad on the second bus during the clip to see what I mean.

I have always been a Coke drinker...With this kind of stunt from Pepsi, I doubt that will be changing anytime soon!

Sarah Palin Interview

Here is excerpts from an interview Sarah Palin did for an upcoming documentary about media bias:

More information about this interview and upcoming documentary can be read here: http://www.johnziegler.com/

Sometimes you just have to laugh

For people who don't believe media bias exists, even subtly ...This picture is for you. It was taken from the show 'What Would You Do' which recently aired on ABC. The premise of the segment of the show this shot was taken from is how people in France would react to the 'Ugly American' stereotype, albeit taken to the extreme. Of course, due to the t-shirt, we got the expected clip of a french citizen comparing support for President Bush to support of Adolph Hitler, which I am sure is exactly what ABC intended from the start...

My question to ABC would be, Isn't it just as possible that an Obama voter could act like a jackass while traveling overseas? Why couldn't this clip have been done with just as much impact without injecting politics at all? Of course, the answer is obvious...ANY chance to bash conservatives, no matter HOW subliminally, will not be passed up....

Another aspect of this show that I found amusing...The first segment of the show dealt with how Mexicans who did not speak English were treated badly in a restaurant when trying to place an order, and filmed the reactions of other customers as the person taking their order berated them for not speaking English, among other things.

Interestingly, in the 'Ugly American' segment, they actually posted a list of what one should do when travelling abroad to not be seen AS an 'Ugly American.' One of the items listed was to 'learn the language', even if only a few words to show an effort. Hmm...While I certainly wouldn't want to see anyone treated as the Mexicans were in this show, I still find it interesting that If Americans expect the same, we are portrayed as racists, but if WE travel without learning some of the other language, then we are an 'Ugly American.' Double standard anyone?
