I think we have just entered the twilight zone...

I honestly do not know what to say about this, as this left me almost speechless when I first heard about it....

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, former member of the KGB in the SOVIET UNION, during a speech he gave recently at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, WARNED the U.S. about the dangers of socialism. Here is an excerpt from the speach:

"In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the state's role absolute. In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated.

Nor should we turn a blind eye to the fact that the spirit of free enterprise, including the principle of personal responsibility of businesspeople, investors and shareholders for their decisions, is being eroded in the last few months. There is no reason to believe that we can achieve better results by shifting responsibility onto the state."

The U.S.S.A. - I guess its official now

With the signing of the 'stimulus' bill, Obama has managed to turn our nation into a socialist state in less than ONE month, far faster then even I would have imagined.

I am finally starting to see stories in the media that dare to mention the 'S' word, which most would not have dared to use before the election. Fox News, basically the ONLY source of 'mainstream' news where a conservative viewpoint might get a fair shake, has this examination of Obama's policies. Then of course there is Newsweek, which proudly proclaims 'We are all Socialists Now.'

With the blinding speed Obama (and three republican turncoats), have managed to attack and basically destroy American capitalism, I worry about what will be next, and what will be salvageable after this nightmare is over, assuming it ever is. One has to wonder if the "election" results in Venezuela this past week, which does away with term limits there, and gives Hugo Chavez the power to complete their socialist transformation, will give Obama any NEW ideas.

At least the salt marsh mouse will be safe....

Is this really surprising?

Many of us have long realized just how dangerous the radical environmental movement is, but now it appears some of them, at least in the UK, are starting to be more vocal with their extreme views.

According to a Mr. Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the UK government's Sustainable Development Commission, families should be limited to no more than two children. (Communist China anyone?) He also says that curbing population growth through contraception and ABORTION must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming.

Will people continue to believe the myth of 'global warming', or will statements like this finally help people to realize that this whole thing is simply a fraud perpetrated by the 'green movement' in order to make it easier for them to spread their radical ideas on EVERYTHING?

I wonder how long it will take for people who DO subscribe to this nonsense to realize that the massive social programs that these SAME people love will REQUIRE large population increases to even HOPE to sustain these programs financially for future generations...
