I think we have just entered the twilight zone...

I honestly do not know what to say about this, as this left me almost speechless when I first heard about it....

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, former member of the KGB in the SOVIET UNION, during a speech he gave recently at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, WARNED the U.S. about the dangers of socialism. Here is an excerpt from the speach:

"In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the state's role absolute. In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated.

Nor should we turn a blind eye to the fact that the spirit of free enterprise, including the principle of personal responsibility of businesspeople, investors and shareholders for their decisions, is being eroded in the last few months. There is no reason to believe that we can achieve better results by shifting responsibility onto the state."

Read the complete speech here.

Read another post about this speech here.

I wonder what kind of reaction one would get if we could go back just 30 years and tell people then that in 2009 we would be at a point in the world where Russia was warning America about the dangers of socialism...

Ronald Reagan HAS to be spinning in his grave...

I think we should listen to President Putin's advice. It must be the twilight zone if I am typing something like that!
